The Department of Social Protection has confirmed dates for the once-off cost of living payments announced in Budget 2024.
If you are applying for the Warmer Homes Scheme and are getting a qualifying social welfare payment, you no longer need to get the Department of Social Protection to complete part of the application form. You can check if you qualify for the scheme using the SEAI’s online portal.
If you did the Junior Cycle exams in 2023, your results were issued to your schools on 18 October 2023. You can also get your results online using the unique PIN and examination number that your school gave you. If you want to appeal your Junior Cycle 2023 exam results, you must apply through your school by 5pm on Tuesday, 24 October 2023.
If you paid Local Property Tax (LPT) in 2023, and did not pay with a repeating payment method (such as a direct debit), you need to choose how you want to pay in 2024 – you can do this in your Revenue property record. If you did not pay LPT last year but your property is liable on 1 November 2023, you should submit a LPT return by 1 December 2023.
Online applications for the Student Grant Scheme 2023-2024 will close on 2 November 2023. If you have started an online application, you must finish it by the closing date. Late applications will only be accepted in certain circumstances.
A new alert was issued to warn people of scam texts being sent telling them to click on a link to claim an energy credit. These texts link to a site that looks like gov.ie. There is no such scheme being offered by the Government and you should not click on the link or enter any personal details. You can read correct information about the Electricity Account Credit on citizensinformation.ie
