Who can get the New Baby Grant?

The first New Baby Grants will now be made to parents.

You will get a grant if your child is born or adopted on or after 1 December 2024 and they qualify for Child Benefit from birth.

The New Baby Grant is €280.

If you have twins or triplets (multiple births), you will get the grant paid for each child. The New Baby Grant is paid with the first month’s Child Benefit payment.
