Late fees to resume for tenancies not registered on time

From 1 March 2024, the Residential Tenancies Board (RTB) will resume charging late fees for tenancies that are not registered on time.

If you are a landlord, you will have to pay late fees for each month that your RTB registration is late.

Late fees will apply to new tenancies and tenancies with an annual renewal date on or after 1 March 2024.

The basic fees for registering are different depending on the type of property you rent.
